GenLayer and Atoma Network Partner to Power AI-Driven Intelligent Contracts on the Blockchain

San Francisco, May 8, 2025 – GenLayer, the pioneer in trust infrastructure for the AI economy, has teamed up with Atoma Network, a decentralized hyperscaler for open-source AI, to launch a new era of trustless, AI-enhanced blockchain applications. This partnership merges GenLayer’s Intelligent Contracts with Atoma’s private and verifiable AI inference, delivering a secure, scalable, and private foundation for AI-powered smart contracts and autonomous decision-making.

By integrating Atoma’s decentralized AI inference network, GenLayer validators can now execute AI-driven contracts, process real-world data, and resolve disputes autonomously within a fully trustless ecosystem.

“AI moves faster than any legal system, but it can’t scale without trust,” said Albert Castellana, Co-Founder & CEO of GenLayer Labs. “With Atoma, we’re extending the decentralized trust infrastructure AI needs to operate autonomously, and combining compute and consensus into a unified foundation that enables developers to build secure, scalable AI-native applications without relying on centralized infrastructure.”

Redefining Smart Contracts with AI

AI is poised to transform global commerce by 2030, yet centralized systems, slow legal processes, and manual workflows have held back progress. GenLayer’s Intelligent Contracts break these barriers by embedding AI reasoning into blockchain protocols, enabling AI agents to:

  • Negotiate, verify, and execute agreements without human intervention.
  • Process real-world data securely using decentralized AI compute.
  • Resolve complex or subjective contract terms via AI-powered consensus.

Atoma uses trusted execution environments (TEEs) to isolate all data during AI processing ensuring true end‑to‑end privacy during inference and providing verifiable proof that every step of the process runs inside a fully secure environment.

“GenLayer’s Intelligent Contracts are a game-changer for blockchain applications,” said Jorge Antonio , Co-Founder of Atoma Network. “Atoma’s decentralized AI inference removes the need for blockchain applications to rely on centralized cloud providers. When combined with GenLayer’s Intelligent Contracts, it ensures end-to-end decentralization.”

What the GenLayer and Atoma Partnership Delivers

The GenLayer and Atoma collaboration unlocks:

  • Decentralized AI Inference: Validators can tap into Atoma’s scalable AI compute network for real-time, trustless Intelligent Contract execution.
  • Privacy-First Execution: Atoma’s TEE-based architecture protects sensitive data during AI processing, ensuring zero data leakage.
  • Customizable AI Workflows: Developers can select from leading open-source models and optimize for speed, cost, or domain expertise.
  • A Growing Developer Ecosystem: Atoma’s compute is now exposed to GenLayer’s ecosystem of AI and Web3 developers and enterprises.

Together, they’re building the backbone for AI-powered automation at scale.

Developers can dive in today via GenLayer Studio, a sandbox for crafting AI-enhanced Intelligent Contracts and use Atoma Cloud to run decentralized AI inference.
